LOTUSIA wants to build reliable, long-term relationships with farmers who have a suitable pond, wetland or water-managed cultivation area. The aim is to learn together, improve traceability and create clear quality and buying processes.

Responsibilities, product specifications, buying terms, quality process and payment timeline are written down before work begins.

- Follow the agreed crop plan and maintain basic records / तय फसल योजना का पालन और सामान्य रिकॉर्ड रखना
- Allow scheduled field visits and quality checks / तय field visit और गुणवत्ता जाँच की अनुमति देना
- Inform LOTUSIA early about flood, disease or other serious crop risks / बाढ़, रोग या फसल जोखिम की समय पर जानकारी देना
- Deliver the produce as per the signed agreement / लिखित समझौते के अनुसार उपज की डिलीवरी करना

Makhana is an aquatic crop. A pond, wetland, low-lying water-retentive plot or suitable water-managed cultivation area is important.
Pond, wetland or another area that can be evaluated for water management.
Ownership or valid lease/access details can be discussed during selection.
Farmer partners should be open to training, records and quality procedures.
Final selection depends on field suitability and the current pilot capacity.
FARMER FAQ / अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल
Can I grow makhana on normal dry land? क्या सामान्य सूखी जमीन पर मखाना उगा सकता हूँ?
Makhana needs suitable water conditions. A field or pond must be assessed before any crop plan is made. मखाना के लिए पानी की उपयुक्त व्यवस्था जरूरी है। फसल योजना बनाने से पहले क्षेत्र की जाँच होगी।
Is price or yield guaranteed? क्या कीमत या उपज की गारंटी है?
No yield or income is guaranteed. Any buying formula, quality standard and payment timeline will be written in the final agreement. उपज या आय की कोई गारंटी नहीं है। खरीद मूल्य की विधि, गुणवत्ता मानक और भुगतान समय-सीमा अंतिम समझौते में लिखी जाएगी।
Do I need to send documents on WhatsApp? क्या WhatsApp पर दस्तावेज भेजना जरूरी है?
For the first enquiry, basic location and contact information is enough. Formal documents are requested only from shortlisted farmers through an agreed process. पहली जानकारी के लिए केवल संपर्क और क्षेत्र विवरण पर्याप्त है। औपचारिक दस्तावेज केवल चयनित किसानों से तय प्रक्रिया के अनुसार मांगे जाएंगे।
Can a leased pond be considered? क्या पट्टे का तालाब भी माना जाएगा?
It may be considered if the lease/access is valid for the crop period and can be verified during assessment. यदि फसल अवधि के लिए पट्टा/अधिकार वैध हो और जाँच में सही पाया जाए, तो विचार किया जा सकता है।
